Mythe fondateur de l’Union européenne, l’année 1989 est pourtant un symbole équivoque. Ainsi, en Allemagne de l’Est, l’accès aux libertés politiques et à la consommation de masse fut payé au prix fort — celui d’un effondrement social et d’une prédation économique souvent ignorés à l’Ouest.
Did you know that in many countries girls are obliged to leave school just because of their period?
Days for Girls is an international association which provides girls and women with washable, colorful feminine hygiene kits that we volunteers sew together!
Since a few months Days for Girls is also present in Luxembourg,
Our goal is to sew and donate the first 30 hygiene kits at the beginning of 2020, are you with us?
You are welcome to join our workshop, please bring over one meter of fabric (new, 100% flannel cotton with colorful and busy patterns*), your sewing material and the sewing machine if you have one 🙂
You don’t know how to sew? No problem, there will be many other ways to help!

Are you sick of food waste? Do you want to get to know more about Foodsharing? Are you interested in joining?
Foodsharing Luxembourg invites you warmly to the second information evening on the 8th of January at 18:00 at CITIM.
Im Januar lädt SEED Luxemburg alle ganz herzlich wieder zu seiner ersten Veranstaltung ‘Sowing the seeds’ im Jahr 2020 ein. Dieses Jahr wird sie gleich zweimal stattfinden – am 11. Januar im CITIM in Luxemburg Stadt und am 18. Januar in der MESA in Esch-sur-Alzette. Wir wollen uns gemeinsam um das SEED-Saatgut, das wir liebevoll geerntet und gereinigt haben, versammeln und dafür sorgen, dass es gut in die Gartensaison 2020 starten kann. Alles was noch fehlt, ist das Befüllen von Saatguttütchen! Hast Du Lust uns dabei zu helfen? Wir würden uns sehr über Deine Teilnahme freuen!
Das erwartet Dich an diesem Nachmittag:
– Rückblick auf die SEED Aktivitäten in 2019 und Ausblick auf neue Projekte.
– Kleines Ritual ums Saatgut
– Gemeinsames Befüllen von Portionstütchen für die diesjährige Saatgut-Verteilung in lockerer Atmosphäre
Für Getränke und Snacks wird gesorgt sein!

En janvier SEED Luxembourg vous invite à sa première activité de l’année 2020. Nous aimerions nous rassembler autour des graines que nous avons affectueusement récolté et nettoyé et prendre soin d’elles afin qu’elles nous permettent d’avoir une belle saison potagère. Tout ce qu’il nous reste encore à faire, c’est remplir les petits sachets pour la distribution. Avez-vous envie de nous rejoindre afin de réaliser cette tâche simple mais précieuse et gratifiante? Nous nous réjouissons beaucoup de votre participation! Cette année, l’évènement sera organisé à deux reprises (11 janvier au CITIM, 18 janvier à la MESA), à vous de choisir laquelle vous convient le mieux 🙂
Le programme de cet évènement:
– Rétrospective sur les projets et activités de l’année 2019 et perspectives pour l’année 2020
– Petit rituel autour des graines
– Ensachage de graines pour cette année dans un cadre convivial
Des boissons et des snacks seront sur place!
