Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à l’atelier-conférence « Nommer le système-monde qui nous opprime » donné par Maria Grace Salamanca, actrice et philosophe. Cet événement nous permettra de comprendre en profondeur les multiples crises auxquelles nous sommes confronté·e·s aujourd’hui.
L’atelier s’adresse à toutes les personnes concernées et/ou engagées dans la justice sociale, économique, politique et environnementale, que ce soit en tant que professionnel·le·s, activistes ou simples citoyen·ne·s.
Le but de la conférence est de nous permettre de ressentir le système et les dynamiques dans lesquels nous sommes immergé·e·s, grâce à la perspective sensible et « bienveillante » (dans le sens de « prendre soin ») de Maria Grace Salamanca. Nous ferons un diagnostic de notre situation à travers la théorie décoloniale, en nous concentrant sur la compréhension de la modernité, de la colonialité, du capitalisme et du patriarcat en tant qu’axes symboliques d’oppression interconnectés. Cela nous aidera à construire des réponses à partir de nos sensibilités, du senti-pensar et de l’esthétique du care.
During her visit in Luxembourg with Handicap International, our library has the honor to welcome Nujeen Mustafa. During a Lunch Talk she is going to talk about her journey, written down in the book ” The Girl from Aleppo: Nujeen’s Escape from War to Freedom ” .

Nujeen Mustafa is a disability and refugees rights advocate born in Syria. Due to bombing and shelling of her hometown Aleppo, she first flew to Turkey and a year later, at the age of 16, together with her sister to Germany in her wheelchair. During their flight they crossed the Mediterranean to Greece by boot and crossed many country borders by bus, train and foot, with her sister pushing her wheelchair. She started attending school in Germany, as the infrastructure in Syria and Turkey were not aligned for people with disabilities. Today she still resides in Germany, near Cologne, and is about to finish high school with her A-levels. She speaks Kurdish, Arabic, German as well as English, which she taught herself in Syria watching American soap operas.
