Ben Ramos of ASTM’s partner organization PDG has visited the CITIM for a lunch-débat on 4 November 2014. Executive-director of PDG and an attorney, he has been fighting against the exploitation of the small and landless peasant farmers in the area around Kabankalan on the island Negros since 1987, helping them to improve their farming techniques and to organize into strong communities to demand their rights.
During this lunch-débat, Ben Ramos talked about the failed land reform in the Philippines and the struggle of small peasant farmers.
