Le Carrefour de plumes
À l’heure des réseaux sociaux, devenus pour certains de véritables canaux pour s’exprimer, partager des informations et communiquer, les auteurs de ce recueil ont choisi la plume pour faire découvrir leur environnement dans toute sa diversité. Avec leur vocabulaire, direct, profond, pertinent…
Ce livre est en effet un carrefour de textes rédigés par des élèves du secondaire, leur école étant située à Bruxelles, Mbandaka (République démocratique du Congo) et Izmir en Turquie. Stéphanie Boale, elle-même auteure, et son association Buku sont les initiateurs de cette campagne d’écriture sur le thème de la découverte.
Si ce recueil sert de point de départ de cette soirée, Stéphanie évoquera aussi son parcours personnel, celui d’une réfugiée politique qui a trouvé asile en Belgique, et ses liens toujours étroits avec son pays d’origine et sa chère ville de Mbandaka. Elle y a créé une bibliothèque avec l’idée de promouvoir la littérature écrite qu’elle considère comme un trait d’union entre le passé, le présent et l’avenir.

The narrative is for children from the age of 4 up is supported by the stunning paintings of the artist Lisa Junius. With her style she brings light into dark places and easily represents inclusive characters.
The reading in English with Marina Fonseca will take place on April 30th at 2:30 pm at CITIM. As usual there is no entrance fee! (A reading in Luxembourgish with Lisa Junius will follow afterwards.)

Im Februar lädt das CITIM wieder engagierte Bildungsakteure aus dem NGO-Bereich für ein Peer-to-Peer ein.
In dieser Art von Format tauschen wir uns auf Basis eines konkreten Tools unserer Bildungsarbeit zu grundlegenden Fragen der ECM (Education à la Citoyenneté Mondiale) und der BNE (Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung) aus.
Für Dienstag den 20. Februar 2024 ist von 14:00 – 16:00 folgendes Programm vorgesehen:
Gemeinsam werden wir den großformatigen Outdoor-Parcours zum Ökologischen Fußabdruck durchführen. Diesen könnt ihr anschließend kostenfrei im CITIM für eure Events ausleihen.
Daran anschließend gibt’s einen interaktiven Theorieinput als Diskussionsbasis. Dabei erfahren wir unter anderem, was der Erdölkonzern BP mit dem Ökologischen Fußabdruck zu tun hat und wir sehen uns die Verantwortungsebenen in der Klimakrise näher an: Welches Land emittiert wieviel? Globaler Süden versus Globaler Norden, welche Bevölkerungsgruppen emittieren wieviel, wodurch setzen extrem reiche Menschen besonders viele Treibhausgase frei? Und wie sieht es mit der Klimaverantwortung multinationaler Unternehmen aus? Es gibt auch pädagogisches Theoriefutter zur Frage warum gemeinsames Handeln als Ziel der Klimabildung wirksamer ist als die alleinige Konzentration auf private Verhaltensänderungen.
Dann gehen wir in den Austausch rund um die Frage “Wie kommen wir in unserer Bildungsarbeit vom Fokus auf individuelles Konsumverhalten zu gemeinschaftlichem und politischen Handeln?” ausgehend von den eigenen Erfahrungen und Wünschen aus der Bildungspraxis.

Passion, intricate rhythms, and awe-inspiring performances are what you might associate today with the word flamenco.
However, to truly understand the essence of this way of living, one must delve into the rich depths of its history, marked by the struggles and influences of minority communities.
Our goal is to meticulously study the multifaceted history of flamenco, from its early stages to the sold-out shows of today, with a focus on the hardships and influences of minority groups.
Expect extensive references, comparative analysis of literature, and an introduction to fundamental flamenco music concepts with practical demonstrations. By the end of this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of flamenco’s origins, its significance to those who have shaped it, and its continuing impact on culture and history.
